This tutorial covers the proper way to mount and install our air quality sensors.
Tools Needed
- standard screwdriver or 5/16" hex driver and drill
What's Included?
Inside the shipping package, you will find a plastic bag containing ring clamps, screws, and mounting brackets designed to mate with the sensor box.
Installation
Step 1
Begin by sliding the stainless steel ring clamp through the mounting bracket:
Note: The ring clamp provided is meant to mount to a pole with a diameter between 6-12". If you are mounting to a smaller pole, or to a different surface, you may need a smaller ring clamp (not provided) to ensure a secure mount.
Step 2
Attach the sensor to the metal bracket using the flathead screws which were included with the mounting hardware. Use the center-hole at the top and bottom of the polycarbonate brackets to secure the metal brackets to the sensor.
Step 3
Secure the ring clamps around the mounting pole (or railing). Once reasonably tight, flip the screw downwards (see Figure 4) to be parallel with the stainless steel belt and use either a standard screwdriver or a 5/16" hex driver to tighten.
